Description
Pileus 1.5-4 cm broad, red to orangish red, convex to plano-convex, matted. Flesh white, slowly tan when exposed, with pleasant odor and mild taste. Tubes adnate, poroid (not favoloid. but quite open), tan, staining brown. Stipe 1.5-3 cm long, 6-10 mm broad, equal, yellow at apex. deep orange to reddish orange below, staining brown, densely subpruinose, with interior white staining tan.
