Tree, 4m x 10cm diam., trunk spiny, bark brown; leaflets discolorous, shiny bottle green above, much paler and dull below; flowers with a strong sweet scent, corollas and calyces pale greenish cream, filaments white, anthers pale yellow; fruits green with a rusty-brown indumentum.
