    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the geographic center of Lago Manacapuru in Amazonas, BR. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Manacapuru. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the beginning of Lago Manacapuru (where Lago Manacapuru branches from Rio Solimões) to the end of the lake (where it branches into two streams); halved this distance to approximate the geographic center of the lake. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates, on the adjacent southern shore. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordiantes to the farthest extent of Lago Manacapuru, 68962.7 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
