Description
Medium sized tree to 60cm. dbh and 20 m. ht with heavy branching and an open wide spreading crown. Outer bark reddish-brown, pitted and with slight vertical fissures.Slash very gritty, fibrous, pale cream, slightly sweet smelling. Young shoots and buds covered in dense orange-brown indumentum. Leaflets: upper surface - slightly glossy, midrib prominent, laterals visible; lower surface - glaucous, only laterals visible. Flowers arranged in loose terminal heads; calyx and corolla green and densely covered in golden brown hairs; filaments and style white, sweetly scented. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper = 147A, below = 147C). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
