Location
Mexico. Baja California Sur. El Caimancito, 5 km north of La Paz along Hwy. 11 toward Pichilingue. Collected on rocky alluvium cut by arroyos at the foot of steep-sided volcanic hills overlooking the Bahia de La Paz, across the highway from the Hotel El Presidente.

Habitat
Clay soil, very wet and sticky at this time. Desert scrub vegetation of Bursera, Pachycereus, Fouquieria, Euphorbia, Jatropha cinerea & etc.

A scarce prostrate annual with orange roots and purple-lavender flowers. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
