  Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the midpoint of the unnamed road leading to "Prainha", a named beach in the immediate vicinity of the district/town of Serra Grande, in Mun. Uruçuca, Bahia. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the district/town of Serra Grande. Using an online map from a tourism website (http://www.itacare.com/itacare/praias/guia.php?praia=prainha&lang=en) found the location of a small beach named "Prainha". Note: another "Prainha" appears on this map far N of this location, however it is much farther from the district of Serra Grande. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, while referencing the tourism map, again found the location of Prainha, as well as the unnamed road that leads to Prainha from the district of Serra Grande. Beginning at the approximate geographic center of Prainha (-14.471927, -39.027689), used Google Maps - Measure Distance tool, to measure a straight line to the other end of the unnamed road where it departs from the town of Serra Grande (-14.471785, -39.034791), then divided that distance by 2 to approximate the location of the geographic midpoint (-14.471855, -39.031235). Using Google Maps - What's Here tool, found coordinates (final) for the point along the unnamed road leading to Prainha closest to this approximate midpoint. Linear extent was the straight line distance from these chosen final coordinates to the farthest extent along this section of road. Input linear extent (406.73 m), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees) and measurement error (10 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, stream, road, path).
