    Among volcanic boulders at the edge of cave entrance. Heavily grazed open savanna scrub vegetation on lava flow. In shade of Ficus sycomorus, Vepris simplicifolia and Dracaena. 3 plants.

  • Description

    Thin fragile erect shrub to 1 m. Bark brown, smooth, with white lenticels. A few dark purple stellate hairs on the young shoots and pedicels. Flowers opening sideways or slightly upwards, corolla violet. Old peduncles yellow-orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
