PLANTS OF CUBA Exostema stenophyllum Britton
Holguin Province. Minas La Mercedita, headwaters of Rio Jaragua, in rocky gorge of large riverbed, opposite mine tunnel entrance. Ca. 20° 30' N, 74° 50' W. Serpentine area of large boulders and steep elopes. Elevation ca. 600 m.
Shrub ca. 1.5 m high, on rocks at waters edge. Flowers white turning pink to purple in early morning.
