Habitat
Rocky canyon botton near mine and steep, mostly limestone ridges above. Dominates include: Cercidium microphyllum, Sapium, Encelia farinosa, Carnegiea, Fouquieria splendens, Croton sonorae, Opuntia bigelovii.

Fairly common on open gravelly flats, prostrate, flowers blue. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
