Description
This shrub which grows seemingly to 8 or nine feet appears to be very like Brunfeslsia (Sol). But the only species of Brunfelsia listed in Trinidad flora are hopeana and americana, both of which have much larger flowers than specimen. Colour of flowers on specimen are purplish blue varying on the same plant to light blue and almost white, the change occuring during the day after opening of flower buds. Only three or four plants were found close to each other. Unfortunately, collector had not the opportunity of revisiting the locality at the fruiting time. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
