Compact sandy roadside to airport- Bare
soil.
Massive terrestrial aroid on poorly drained
compacted sandy or clay soil. Common alonq
edge of SSto Gabriel air strip aid along road
to airport. Long thin near-surface stolons
give rise to new plants 2-3 meters from
parent. Very short erect main stem and
petioles forming dense erect cluster. Leaf
scars adjacent to one another, without
intemodes. Leaf blade held with tip
pointing vertically downward. In immature
plants tip is held upward. Inflorescence
held erect, attached to base of petiole.
