Mexico. Jalisco. W side of Cerro Grande; 18-50 km NW of Colima, overlooking Arroyo Pitahayas and the valley between San Pedro Toxín and El Sauz, along transect from (and 1.2 km due E of) Los Encinitos to the antennas on the upper W edge of C. Grande, 6.5 km (airline distance) due NW of El Terrero, 29 km due NW of Colima.

Habitat
Undisturbed tropical deciduous forest ("bosque tropical caducifolio"). Rare.

Description
Small tree, 5m tall, with 3 main stems (trunks); frts. very sparse, cherry red.
