W side of Cerro Grande; 18-50 km NW of Colima, overlooking Arroyo Pitahayas and the valley between San Pedro Toxín and El Sauz, along transect from (and 1.2 km due E of) Los Encinitos to the antennas on the upper W edge of C. Grande, 6.5 km (airline distance) due NW of El Terrero, 29 km due NW of Colima.

    Undisturbed tropical deciduous forest ("bosque tropical caducifolio"). Rare.

  • Description

    Small tree, 5m tall, with 3 main stems (trunks); frts. very sparse, cherry red.
