    On open sandy areas. Grazed 25°SW-facing sloep of loose soil overlaying andesite bedrock. Dense scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Phlox stansburyi, Prunus andersonii, Phacelia bicolor, Leymus cinereus, Achnatherum hymenoides, Wyethia mollis. Scattered.
