White sand over pale orange soil. Alt. 60 m.
Tree to 10 m., D.B.H. 7 cm., diam. at knee
level 25 cm., trunk dividing into 3 main
branches; bark pale-orangish-brown, fairly
smooth, with orangish lenticels. Bark slash
deep-red, wood slash pale-pink; leaflets
held erect on leaves, leathery, shiny, dark-
bottle-green above, paler and dull below,
margins somewhat revolute; calyces yellow
inside, rusty-yellow outside due to pubescence;
petals sunshine yellow, style green, one
long stamen with anther covered in white
hairs, other stamens small _+ sessile coffee-
coloured anthers.
