Description
Stems clustered, to 1.5 m tall, 5 cm diameter, brown. Sheaths 20 cm long; ocreas prominent, disintegrating, to 30 cm long; petioles 190 cm long, more spiny on lower part; blades 120 cm across, with 22 segments, the central ones petiolulate. Sterile plants.
