Description
Stems clustered, 5 m tall, 6 cm diameter, brown, rough, forming large clumps with up to 15 main stems. Leaves 16; sheaths 40 cm long with additional 60 cm long ocreas; petioles 220 cm long with spines for about two-thirds their length; blades145 cm across.
