Habitat
In a rocky area, not far from the shore of Walker Lake. Associated species: Ephedra, Chrysothamnus, Psathroides ramossima, Tamarisk, Bromus tectorum. Growing in sand.

Description
These perennials form mats, from about 18 to 36 inches across and about 9 inches deep and bright purple flowers and thick, fleshy linear leaves, like a succulent. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
