Herbaceous; leaves opposite, with distinct midvein, bright green, covered with fine hairs, 2x4 cm long, elliptical, margins toothed; flower 5 petals, 6-13 mm, purple at base and white at tip, 2 or 3 arising terminally. Occasional native.
