    Silty dry streambanks of decomposed granite soil, surrounded by dense thatch of Carex, Juncus and Trifolium. With Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Iris occidentalis, Trifolium longipes, Trifolium monanthum, Potentilla, Salix, Rumex. Uplands of Artemisia - Purshia scrub. Historically grazed area. Scattered along dry stream margins.
