    Arbusto de 4 m de altura. Flores com cálice verde, pétalas branca-violáceas, estames brancos, anteras amarelas. Frutos imaturos verdes. Mata de igapó, solo areno-argioso.

Using the reference map and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Tapagem, which is along Rio Trombetas in the vicinity of Cachoeira Porteira (approximately 43 km. southeast from Cachoeira Porteira). Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of Lago Tapagem, on the adjacent eastern shore. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the lake.
