Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the city of Caracaraí in Mun. Caracaraí, Roraima. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the city of Caracaraí on the western shore of Rio Branco. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the geographic center of the city. Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the city (boundaries provided by Google Maps). Used the linear extent as the uncertainty radius. Note: Caracaraí is located in the Brazilian state of Roraima, rather than Amazonas (as stated on the label).
