Habitat
Open oak woodland with Sabal uresana ans Acacia species, and scattered mesquite, Dasylirion wheeleri, and Opuntia spp. Common in the upper drainage of the ranch.

Tree to 10 m.; fruit eaten; wood used for fences and lumber. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
