In short brush high above the arroyo, uncommon. This is the same species as Stanford, Rether-ford & Northcroft 871 (MEXU), collected 22 km. S.E. Miquihuana in 19l|l, misdetermined by I.M. Johnston as Cassia greggii; on that specimen the buds were oblong: thepedicels (at least m ilower) very short.
