Description
Tree, 20 feet high with 7 inch thick stem; stem branched from below the middle; the branches divaricate, rather long and freely rebranched; wood hard, whitish, odorless and tasteless; bark brown or mottled with gray, smooth; twigs lax, horizontally spreading; leaves similarly spreading or descending, leathery, shiny depp green on the upper side, much paler or lighter green beneath, tips somewhat recurved, otherwise flat; in florescence axillary or from the twigs, all the stalks green and angular; calyx pinkish-white; the four petals of the same color, caducous; filaments and anthers azure-blue; style bluish toward the tip, whitish toward the base; ovary crown whitish; flowers suberect and sweetly fragrant.
