Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Abunã, a tributary of Rio Madeira. Beginning at the approximate geographic center of the mouth of the river, used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure approximately 20 km (20.00 km) upstream (toward the headwaters); used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates, on the adjacent shore (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find the linear extent of the starting location, the mouth of the river, by measuring from the geographic center of the mouth of Rio Abunã to the farthest extent of the confluence of the rivers. Input coordinates, linear extent (0.281282 km), measurement error (.005 km), and distance precision (10 km) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
