Habitat
Crevices in rhyolitics cliffs on the E side of the canyon of río Jaral. Abundant.

Description
Heads yellow, with 5 neutral, epappose rays; Disk achenes (young) long-pilose, especially on the margins, and with 2 antrorsely barbed awns.
