    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the geographic center of Rio Araçá, a tributary of Rio Negro. Using Google Maps, located Rio Araçá in Barcelos, AM. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the mouth of Rio Araçá (where it branches off of Rio Negro) to the end of Rio Araçá (using visual evidence to approximate end of river, where it splits at Serra Araçá); halved this extent to approximate the location of the midpoint along the river. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint, along the adjacent shore. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the river, 118292 m.), and measurement error (1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
