Description
Consists of 2 immature basidiomes and one small mature one. Stipe is black to gray, wooly lanose. Veil is same as B. ananas in form (pendant from pileus margin, sheathing the stipe, but not forming a partial veil/annulus). Scales/warts on pileus are very fine and short, reminiscent of Amanita polypyramis. Stains red then black when bruised and flesh is exposed.
