Haiti. Sud. Massif de la Hotte, western group; Parc National Pic Macaya; Morne Formon, near ridge of Formon, along trail going down S slope to Experiment Station House.

Habitat
Not seen at higher elevations on ridge, nor at lower elevations on south slope. Moist forest of Pinus occidentalis. Locally common.

Description
Shrub or small tree to 4.5 m tall; veins impressed above; petals pale green; anthers white, and arragned all around flower; fruits immature, reddish. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
