Habitat
Cloud forest and transition to dry south slope forest. Melastomes: Miconia theaezans, M. quadrangularis, Blakea trinervia, Mecranium virgatum. Occasional. Clay soil.

Description
Tree or shrub to ca. 7 m tall; fruits reddish when immature, turning aqua-blue (or -green), almost iridescent, but whitish beneath. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
