Habitat
Disturbed moist montane forest at peak (and ridge) of mountain, lower elevations with very patchy and disturbed moist forest. Common.

Description
Branches rigidly ascending; new growth bright red. Shrub or small tree to 4-5 m tall; flowers white; plants showing much variation in leaf size. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
