Habitat
Moist Dipterocarpus retusus forest. Scattered, rather common.

Description
Tree 20 m., diam. 30 cm., bark smooth pale brown, paper thin; living bark 5 mm., with latex yellow. stocky; wood straw, soft; fruit purplish red-brown with green sunken parts, inside yellow, acid. Fruit dehiscent on the tree, the seeds fall out on the tree. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
