    Stem solitary, to 8 m tall, 9 cm diam at base. Leaves 9; Sheath well-developed, very fibrous at apex, 60 cm long; Petiole 40 cm long; Rachis 3.5 m long; Pinnae irregularly arranged and in various planes, 96 per side.
