    Stem solitary, to 8 m tall, 18 cm diam, covened with persistent, fibrous, leaf Sheaths. Leaves 8; Rachis 7.6 m long; Pinnae 100 per side, regularly arranged and in one plane. Inflorescence intefoliar; peduncle 15 cm long, 10 cm diam; peduncula.
