Exposed windswept granitic ridge. Leeward (southwest-facing) pediment of coarse granite cobbles with cushion-type dwarfed vegetation. East-facing slopes with more mesic scrub. With Purshia tridentata, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Artemisia tridentata, Ephedra viridis, Pinus monophylla, Mentzelia congesta.
