Dominican Republic. La Vega. Cordillera Central, east of Paso Bajito, lower slopes of Loma la Golondrina, about 100 yards beyond GPS reading on trail to junctions of Rio Maxi-Pedro, Rio Golandrina, and Rio Nue. In ravine of Rio Golondrina/Rio Maxi-Pedro, below their confluence at Salto de Golondrina.

Habitat
Moist forest in ravine. Moist broadleaved forest with Calycogonium sp. (collected by D. Skean), Sagraea fuertesii, Miconia prasina, M. punctata, Clidemia umbellata. Locally common.

Description
Shrub, to 1.75 m tall; fruits blue. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
