On very steep, rocky, south-facing hillside. Growing in soil from ash flow tufts with Boechera, Cymopteris, bunch grasses and 9 elk in the distance.

Flowers whitish/purplish with purple beaked keel. Unilocular pod. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
