Igarapé do Leão seems to be a tributary off Rio Negro, north-northwest of the city of Manaus. Using Google Maps, located Igarapé do Leão. Assumed Igarapé Leão road to be the unmarked road leading to the Igarapé do Leão from Av. Cláudio Mesquita (this road is approximately 5 km. west (directly) of BR-174, which agrees with the locality description). Georeferenced to the geographic center of this road. Used the measurement tool to measure a straight line between the two points on the road most removed from each other within the administrative boundaries specified in the locality description, from the start and finish of this road (from Igarapé do Leão to Av. Cláudio Mesquita). Halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of this road. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates at the midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (the distance from the midpoint on the road to the farthest point on the road within the administrative boundaries specified in the locality description - 1412.01 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius. coordinates are approximately 25 km north of city of Manaus, as stated in locality description.
