Habitat
Very disturbed moist montane forest (or cloud forest). Forest restricted to small patches with garden plots between them; canopy height ca. 3 m. With Miconia tetrastoma, Mecranium multiflorum.

Description
Shrub or small tree to 4 m tall; flowers white, anthers white/actinomorphic; fruits red, turning blue with age (and globose). Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
