slightly disturbed mixed-dipterocarp forest in steep terrain. thick leaf litter overlying brown clay.

Description
Tree 30 m x ca. 50 cm diam above buttresses, these digitate and to 4 m high (making trunk fluted at base) and extending 2 m from base; outer bark brown, with large sparse raised lenticels, shed in thin plates that are highly variable in size and shape. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
