    Dominican Republic. Pedernales. Sierra de Bahoruco National Park, accessed north of Cabo Rojo on old Alcoa road to Aceitillar; then N on Sendero Bahoruco (jeep trail to Puerto Escondido; access gate near park guardhouse, Caseta #4) toward Caseta #2 (another park guardhouse ca. 15-20 km N).

  • Habitat

    Moist, high elevation forest of Pinus occidentalis with scattered cloud forest associates. With Garrya fadyenii, Arthrostylidium, Myrsine coriacea, Cestrum spp., Fuchsia triphylla, Metastelma, Buddleja domingensis, Miconia lanceolata, M. fuertesii, Daphnopsis crassifolia, Turpinia picardae. Uncommon.

    Shrub to 2.5 m tall; flowers with petals white, anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
