  • Description

    Tree 10-12 m tall, the trunk 55 cm diam; bark with short, deep furrows, reddish near the cambium, the ridges braided, rough, scaly, turning black, somewhat corky; main branches several, no one particularly dominant, arising from lower 1/3 of tree height, erect to ascending, then bending outward at top of tree, lateral branches ascending, then pendulous; leaves mostly dropped. Largest tree in immediate vicinity 15 m tall and ca 120 cm diam. Trees here not even in phenological state (one tree to another). Some fruits are barely formed and others are nearly mature.
