Haiti. Sud. Massif de la Hotte, western group; Parc National Pic Macaya; ridge above Experiment Station House (= Cay Florence) and Biosphere reserve house, near Deron plain, Bwa Deron.

Habitat
Rak bwa (= moist forest on limestone) on karst ridge. With Meriania brevipedunculata, Miconia subcompressa, M. tetrastoma, Calycogonium torbecianum, Mecranium birimosum, Clidemia umbellata. Very common.

Description
Shrub to 5 m tall; flowers white; young fruits green with red tinge. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
