    Growing in moist, shaded roadcut. Disturbed Pinus forest with Heterotrichum, Miconia, Passiflora, Eupatorium, Piper, Rubus, Inga, Myrsine, and Baccharis. Uncommon.

    Shrub to ca. 2.5 m tall. Flowers white. Older flowers with reflexed petals. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
