Bolivia. Cochabamba. Choro. Above the Cocapata river about 100 miles N.W. of Cochabamba, across the Tunari range.

Habitat
Lower and steeper slopes covered with forest, the rest pasture, cultivated at intervals. Good flora both flowering plants and ferns. From 12,000 ft. upwards, constant cloud or rain in summer, lifting occasionally.

Long stem climbing over large shrubs, flowers beautiful bright red shaped like a ball. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
