Growing locally profusely under Juniperus scopulorum, not common in valley with sisyrinchium, Equisetum and Zigadenus on moist alkaline soils.

Corolla rotate, white with dark violet "tracking," leaves glabrous on both surfaces but ciliate on margins. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
