meadow directly N of FS campground with watertrough. (Dexter
Cyn. quad: 37° 49.207’N, 118° 51.058'W; T1S R28E S35, NE/4
of NE/4). Alt.: 2683m/8800ft.
Open, mostly dry meadow on fine pumice soil surrounded by
encroaching Pinus contorta woodland. Heavily used and disturbed
FS campground adjacent. With Chrysothamnus parryi, Lupinus
lepidus, Rumex pauciflorus, Penstemon rydbergii, Agrostis
scabra, Phleum alpinum, Elymus trachycaulis, E. elymoides,
Carex, Juncus.
Occasional from loose clumps. Probable hybrid between Elymus trachycaulis
f	and E. multisetus.
