Description
Few-branched treelet, 4 m tall. Infructescences terminal; pulp orange; seeds partially covered by a papery brown testa. Sympatric with Aiphanes eggersii (Arecaceae). This species is a frequent colonizer in several places along the road Pedernales-Canoa (Manabi Prov.). Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
