Habitat
upland pine (Pinus rigida) - oak (Quercus) forest with stands of red maple (Acer rubrum) and grading into extensive swampy forests of Atlantic white cedar (Chamaecyparis thyoides) with a dense low understory of ericaceous shrubs. on the bark of a birch (Betula populifolia).
