In sagebrush-pinon-juniper community. Sandy soil.

Description
Perennial; leaves glaucous; petals very pale bluish (almost white) with some darker blue veins especially toward the base. Petals never spreading out flat as in L. lewisii, and tending to persist for some time after anthesis instead of being promptly deciduous. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
